When you receive an ADSL router from ourselves there will be printed instructions regarding the installation. Follow the instructions that relate to using the modem as a router. NB: Do not install any software, and do not use USB. Once installed correctly, if we have pre configured the modem router for you, it will search for the connection & log into our servers. As it does this the ADSL indicator light will flash at regular intervals. Once a connection is established, the ADSL indicator light will remain constantly on. If it remains flashing, check that you have plugged in the cables correctly. If these are correctly installed it is likely that you either do not have an ADSL line available, or you need to check the details of the modem router configuration. The LAN indicator light will exhibit similar behaviour as it looks to establish a connection with your Mac. If it is successful, it will remain on constantly (with perhaps the occasional flicker as the router and your Mac exchange information). If the light flashes on and off in a regular sequence, then check that the mac and modem router are connected correctly. Once you are satisfied that the connections are
working as desired you will need to change settings on your Mac to take
advantage of the connection: Checking your modem router configuration: |
