Dial Up - Mac OS7

Connecting a Mac to internet requires the configuration of two components; the TCP settings & PPP settings.

The TCP instructions in this document differ depending on whether you are using 'Classic' Mac (generally pre OS7.5) with MacTCP or a PowerMac (generally OS7.5 or later) with Open Transport installed.

There are many PPP clients, but instructions here are specifically for FreePPP as it is widely recognised & reliable software.

We would recommend that you take this chance to upgrade to FreePPP 2.6 if you haven't already. This can be downloaded from the FreePPP official site.

Those using Mac TCP, click here.
Those using Open Transport, click here.
