ZETNET LAUNCHES OFFICIAL SUPPORT FOR APPLE
MAC USERS ON THEIR BROADBAND SERVICES
20th February 2003
Zetnet (www.zetnet.com) are pleased to announce
official support for Apple Mac users on our broadband services.
Apple Mac users can take advantage of Zetnet's
broadband ADSL 500
domestic introductory offer: until 31st March 2003 customers can
subscribe to an all-inclusive package costing £129. The package
consists
of an ADSL modem router (Ethernet + USB) that is currently retailing at
£69. The modem is compatible with Apple Mac, Windows and Linux.
The
package also includes broadband activation, two micro-filters and
broadband ADSL connection for three months. After this time the cost
will be just £29.38 per month. Zetnet offers 5 email accounts plus
50 MB
web space.
Tim Cole, Zetnet Technical Director comments, "Zetnet
have just launched
broadband and found from customers that users of Apple Macs are not
getting any service from the majority of ISPs, in fact many ISPs do not
accept Apple Mac users at all. We decided to come up with the solution
by making sure our modem would work on all Mac operating systems (OS8
and
above). Most ISPs supply a type of plug-and-play USB modem which is, for
most Mac users, not compatible with their operating systems. This problem
is
solved by taking our recommended modem."
Zetnet is the oldest independent British ISP and
have great experience
in providing services that are not available elsewhere.
